The weeping willow

First off, I would like to say hello all and pardon my absence. I'm back and better than before...hope you enjoy what you see and feel free to leave a comment.

This piece is an excerpt from a book I am currently working on:

"The Weeping Willow"

For the first time in my life I dropped my pride and cried
And felt like I died all because she lied
I fell on all fours behind closed doors and cried like the weeping willow
I just watched as sweat and tears filled my pillow
This is a love she couldn't handle
She put our flame in her hand and snuffed my candle
So just like the weeping willow I cried til I was dry on the inside
I said, I cried til I was dry on the inside!
My pride no longer exists
My life has a brand new twist
I don't know where to go
Or what to so like the willow...
I'll cry til I'm dry on the inside...

Mr. Q...I'm a man like any other, I feel, I laugh, I cry, I hurt....

I really enjoyed reading that poem. It was soft and fragile like a woman but possessed the strenght and passion of a man. I love the comparison... like a willow the personification was on point and really exposed the true emotions of you, the writer. As always keep up the good work.
