But for a second let's examine that love..
That Selfish love
That love focused solely on your needs, wants, and interests
That love that pushed my interests aside and discarded my feelings...
That selfish love...
I gotta tell you now
Thats not love
If you really loved me
You would have cared
Would have been there
You wouldn't have let me slip away...
My love fought...
It fought for us
It fought for what my disillusioned eyes thought they saw
For what my heart thought it had
My love fought for...
Love
I guess what we had was seen through two different lens'
My scope saw someone I needed to please
Your scope saw the same thing
The problem is...
Our lens' looked at the same person...
Maybe I'm wrong
Maybe you did everything right and I was the selfish one
Either way
Our relationship fell victim to SELFISH LOVE

Sweetie, selfish love always appears in a loving, good, kind heart person’s life. I always look at and put my companion's needs and feelings first but they never cared about mine. They would walk across it like it was nothing. But I will say, she is going to realize what she did to you once it’s too late. Keep searching for the right one and one day you will be able to write a poem titled “Unconditional Love”. Good poem!!!
my night last night was full of confusion and hurt. but the important thing about it was that it gave me clarity. after blasting me about not reading ya stuff, i decided to do so this morning. and all i can say is im glad i did. "selfish love" but things into a better persepective for me because now i see thats exactly what has been going on between the relationship. i figured that if i stuck by and helped through the hurt and pain, and tried to do little things that might ease that pain, then he would really see just how special and important he was to me. But as usual, actions speak louder than words. thanks again for the "wise words of wisdom."
This i like by far thats whats up i have fallen victim to selfish more than once. Be careful for selfish love wears many masks and and comes disguised as agape' with out the selflessness, be on the look out for selfish love is a.......

but i think at some point in every relationship love tends to be selfish on ones part. Not saying that its right but we all tend to me a lil more concern with the way we are feeling verse the way the mate is feeling. but real love, true love, that unconditional love is never selfish more of selfless....keep that in mind
